As a partner in our tax department, Korey has worked extensively with multi-state and international corporations and partnerships, spending the majority of his time working in the timber investment and manufacturing / distribution industries. He received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from The University of Alabama. Korey's experience includes consulting with his clients on issues such as mergers and acquisitions, REIT structuring and compliance, state nexus, inventory capitalization, reporting uncertain tax positions under GAAP and unrelated business income tax for tax exempt organizations.
He is a licensed CPA in Alabama and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. He serves as Vice President of the Birmingham Tax Forum and is also a member of Vistage, an international organization of CEOs and key executives.
