Jim Richardson is the Chairman of the SRHW Board of Directors, which is responsible for the creation of the vision and long range strategic direction of our firm. He provides significant leadership and personifies the culture and dynamics of SRHW.
Jim is a 1979 graduate of the University of Alabama, where he earned his B.S. in Accounting. He began his career with the Birmingham office of Touche Ross/Deloitte & Touche. In 1990 Jim transferred to Winston-Salem, North Carolina with Deloitte & Touche where he was head of the Tax Department. In 1991 Jim joined with Chuck Sellers and Jim Watson as a founding partner of one of our predecessor firms, Sellers, Richardson, Watson, Haley & Dunn, LLP.
Jim is an active member of our community. He has served as a board member of organizations, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Rotary Club of Birmingham-Sunrise, the University of Alabama Planned Giving Advisory Council, the Norton Advisory Board for Birmingham Southern College, and Canterbury United Methodist Church.
