Ricky Tucker is a partner in the firm’s tax practice. He has over twenty-five years of combined experience in public accounting and private industry. The majority of this time has been spent providing tax planning, compliance and consulting services to businesses and individuals. Ricky’s industry experience includes manufacturing, retail, construction, transportation and financial services. He also has tax planning and consulting experience in the estate and trust sector.
Ricky earned a B.S. in Accounting from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1982 and a Masters of Accountancy from The University of Georgia in 1988. He began his post-graduate career with the international firm Deloitte & Touche, where he progressed to the level of Senior Manager. Ricky also spent several years in public accounting with a local accounting firm. He joined one of our predecessor firms, Sellers, Richardson, Watson, Haley & Dunn, LLP in 2006 and was promoted to Partner on January 1, 2009. Ricky is a member and past-Treasurer of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Birmingham and serves as a football official with the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
