Jim Watson is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Tax Department. Jim's depth of technical knowledge and ability to manage complex tax issues maximizing the benefits available to our clients are well known. Jim is typical of the professional advisors at SRHW, highly educated and currently abreast of issues that are imminently advantageous to our clients and their businesses.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, Jim earned his B.S. in Accounting in 1979. He began his career in 1979 by joining the Birmingham office of Peat, Marwick & Mitchell (now KPMG), starting in the Audit Department. In 1981 Jim joined Touche Ross/Deloitte & Touche in the Birmingham office Tax Department.
In 1991 Jim became one of the three founding partners of one of our predecessor firms, Sellers, Richardson, Watson, Haley & Dunn.
